A whole lot of butter, a little river breeze and absolutely no reason to wait for Friday.
We're big believers in making a Wednesday feel like a Saturday. A late dinner, a good glass of wine, ordering something a little extravagant for no particular reason. Life's too short to save all the good stuff for the weekend.
Which brings us to The Lobster Affair, the new midweek special at hatted Melbourne restaurant From Here By Mike.
Every Wednesday from 14 October, the riverside favourite is serving Australian lobster dressed in a zingy garlic beurre blanc, with a generous heap of golden, crispy fries alongside. All for $49 per person!
It's buttery, a little indulgent... so naturally, we're cancelling our usual Wednesday plans for it.
Take a seat on the terrace as the evenings get warmer, order something cold and make an occasion of absolutely nothing. Or settle into the dining room and let dinner take its time.
The full à la carte menu is available too, but lobster, fries and a glass of something lovely? We're sold.
