Something big is growing at Garden State Hotel — and it’s set to change Melbourne’s rooftop game.
Arriving Spring 2026, Garden State’s upcoming 300-seat Rooftop Garden will offer an all-season open-air escape above the CBD, blending relaxed city drinking with lush, layered greenery and sweeping skyline views.

Designed as a natural extension of the venue’s vibrant, social energy, the two-level rooftop is made for after-work catch-ups, long afternoons and effortless weekend sessions.

Expect herb and floral-inspired cocktails, craft beers, approachable wines and considered non-alcoholic options, with a full pub menu to follow. Designed by Melbourne architect Telha Clarke, the space will feature soft lighting, banquette seating and a mezzanine level for private events — all sheltered by a retractable roof for year-round enjoyment. Construction begins this February. Spring 2026 can’t come soon enough. Sign up to be first in the know — Melbourne’s next must-visit rooftop is officially on the rise.
